So per my post last month, every month I’m going to be sharing ten of my favorite things with you all. I’m a sucker for products and trying new things, so as an “investment to my blog” I’ve tried out some amazing products I want to share this month. Comment below if you’ve tried out any of my favorites! Let’s just jump right to it, here they are:
- Estée Lauder NightWear Plus Mask
Okay so you all know I’m totally biased when it comes to the amazing Estée Lauder, self admittedly. As I’ve mentioned before, the cool thing with this brand is that they are ALWAYS offering deals. Like when you spend $45 you get a gift set and bag that has lots of sample products in it fo’ free! And this is actually how I came across this mask. I had originally bought my NightWear Plus Moisturizer, and received a bag full of goodies, including this mask. A small sample gave me 4 masks! My skin was CLEAR and moisturized like crazy the next day. So, I went ahead and bought the full size version. Worth every penny, ladies.
2. APL Running Shoes
I basically live in flip flops and running shoes. To get to the point, these APL Running Shoes are not only extremely comfortable, but come in the cutest colors. They are simple and what I love most is there is no tongue, so you can wear them without socks and just slip them on. Lululemon is now selling them!
3. Voluspa Cut Glass Jar Candle
As you know I am a huge Anthropologie addict. What brought me into the store originally was their candles. I had heard from a girlfriend how delicious they were, so I coughed up the $28 for a single candle and gave it a try. Holy moly, worth every penny! Not only do they smell spectacular, but they are adorable. I like to keep it cute in my house and something about a big ‘YANKEE CANDLE CO’ just doesn’t mesh well with my decor. These however, are too cute for words. And they last forever! The Panjor Lychee is a sweet bedroom favorite.
4. Slingshot Cabernet Sauvignon
I don’t have much to say on this one except that it’s a bomb dot com Cabernet Sauvignon wine that made me do a double take, take a picture of the label, and share it all with you. Pretty affordable too at $24.
5. Rebelution
Bold statement I’m about to make here, but this is one of the best bands I’ve ever seen live. I recently saw them in San Diego, and aside from their positive energy and spirit, I absolutely loved the beauty of their instrument playing. It’s sad, but in our day and age it’s mostly DJ’s or a singer or rapper just yelling over their own pre-recorded track. Rebelution has a full, live band, trumpet battles, sax and guitar solos.. It’s truly refreshing. Plus, they bring a very “chill” crowd if you know what I mean, so you’re surrounded by good people all looking to have a good time and share the love. Their music is perfect to get you in a happy mood, drive in your car, or play over making dinner at home. Some of my favorite songs include “Feeling Alright,” “Count Me In” and one of Tyler’s & I’s songs, “Fade Away.” They’re constantly on tour and honestly, all of their songs are great.
6. Spindrift Sparkling Water
As Ty likes to say, I’m “so extra” or my girlfriend Ciera says “so boujee.” Well, if that means I’m either of those because I always order sparkling water, then yes, I am indeed extra boujee! My obsession with sparkling water began this year and I’ve tried them all. Honestly, the whole Le Croix fad is a little basic for my liking. And the taste is average. Now, Spindrift.. oh my. I’ve only had the Watermelon and Raspberry Lime flavors but they are much more flavorful and delicious. Plus, there is zero sugar added and made with REAL fruit! Hell yeah.
7. Himalayan Salt Lamp
Not going to lie, we have one of these in all bedrooms. Aside from the health benefits below, the best part about these lamps is the calming light. They are perfect for a bedroom, giving you just enough light, but not too much. They have a spa like feel & I don’t think I’ll ever go back. They are super affordable too, you can find them here on Amazon.
8. Urban Outfitters 30% Off Rompers & Dresses
I’ve really been into rompers/jumpsuits this last year. For one, they are extremely flattering (probably the number one reason why I love them so much), but more than that, they say ‘I’m here to look cute and party, but also be functional.’ You can pop your booty and have a great time in a romper much easier than you can a dress. Plus, guys love them because most hug your body aka your booty just the right way. Urban always has great rompers that can be worn casually with sandals or dressed up with heels. Right now they’re having a 30% off sale, woot woot!
9. “Icarus” documentary on Netflix
So I just watched this with Ty and it’s AMAZING. This Oscar-nominated thriller documentary follows an American cyclist who plunges into a vast doping scandal involving a Russian scientist — Putin’s most-wanted whistleblower. The story starts one way and takes a huge turn. Very socially informative, and a great one to watch with your man. I mean I’m just convinced everyone is doping on some level. Add it to the list, baby.
10. FOR THE MAMAS “Baby Wise” by Robert Buckman, M.D.
I’ll say it once and I’ll say it time & time again, THIS IS YOUR BIBLE, MAMAS! Baby Wise presents an infant care program which the authors say will cause babies to sleep through the night beginning between seven and nine weeks of age. It emphasizes parental control of the infant’s sleep, play and feeding schedule rather than allowing the baby to decide when to eat, play and sleep. I remember crying because I didn’t know how to get Jaxon to sleep or what to do. I felt totally clueless. I read Baby Wise: Giving Your Infant the Gift of Nighttime Sleep front to back in a matter of days and immediately put this routine into place. Jump ahead and by 7 weeks Jaxon was sleeping from 6:30pm to 7:30am EVERY night. Fast forward to present day, and Jaxon, now 1.5 years old, sleeps from 8pm to 9am EVERY night. No middle of the night cries or wake ups, no early bird surprises, it’s the same routine EVERY night. I’m re-reading it now to get ready for Baby Conway!
Morning Kristen!
Hope you are hanging in there as the last days tick by! Question on the candles…are they soy and do they emit black smoke? Black smoke is one of the many reasons I had to quit Yankee. Bad for the lungs and bad for the walls! Also, do you recommend that particular Himalayan Pink Slat lamp that the link brings you to? I definitely want to bring a couple into my house of asthma and allergy sufferers. Thanks for the tips! Can’t wait to see Baby Conway’s sweet little face! xoxo ~Nancy

Hi Nancy! The candles are a coconut wax blend and I’ve never had any issues with them. Here is a link to the salt lamps we ordered for around the house: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MDU55WR/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
thanks for your constant support! XO

Hi Kristin, My Granddaughter (cousin twice removed to Ty) I believe, has migraines and wondering if
this would be beneficial to her as well. I saw one here in Lincoln at Wholesale Store – part of Amazon – and was curious about them. Also anticipating lil Conway!
