June: A Few Of My Favorite Things

1. Forever 21 Pointed Cate Eye Sunglasses

These are so fetch. So in style right now and I’m not mad at it. It’s 1950s meets badass bitch. I’m here for it. Especially for $6.

2. Tradesy.com

Okay I have yet to use this site.. BUT.. it’s on my list! Someone once told me to never get your designer bags at full price- either know someone (I don’t, so if anyone does hook a sister up), or to use sites such as Tradesy, RealReal, or FashionPhile. You can find not only bags, but clothing, shoes and accessories, as well. All goods are authenticated by a team of professionals. You can also sell your stuff, too! The first time I bought a “used” designer bag it was from an in person consignment. Ty actually went and picked it out for me. You had to make an appointment and tell them what top 5 bags you wanted beforehand. They laid the bags out like diamonds! He walked away with a gift for me and it was brand new, in the box, tags and all, but $500 less expensive! That cute little monster Fendi clutch is now my favorite bag.

3. ProLinc Callus Eliminator

I once read that you can always tell a woman’s age by her hands, feet & neck. I make sure to lather my neck, face and chest with moisturizer every day, and get a mani/pedi every two weeks. However, do you ever notice they charge like $6 extra for callus removal? I don’t even have crazy calluses but I do every thing I can to take care of myself and have baby soft feet. I’ve tried a couple at home remedies but then I finally asked my little friend at the nail salon, thinking it was some ancient Chinese secret he would share with me. Matter has it, they got the callus eliminator magic potion on Amazon!!! I ordered it right away and was AMAZED. Women, if you don’t have an issue, I’m sure you have a man friend that does- best $9 investment you’ll find.

4. St. Tropez Self-Tanner

I’ll be the first to admit that I used to love me some tanning beds. But as you get older and your priorities change, you realize, hey, skin cancer isn’t the move. I did the Magic Sprays but those were smelly and orange. I loved airbrush but at $50 a pop it wasn’t reasonable.  Fast forward and I found St. Tropez self tanner and it is amazeballs. It’s super easy as you apply it with an applicator mit. It gives you a brown, natural look & glow. Not to mention it lasts forever! You can usually find this stocked at your local Sephora or Ulta Beauty.

5. Migrastil Migraine Headache Aromatherapy Stick

I can vividly remember my first migraine when I was 7 years old. It was hell. I still suffer from migraines but do everything I can to avoid them. I’ve tried it all, meds, therapies, massages, etc. Ty got me this Aromatherapy Stick when I was pregnant so I didn’t have to take Excedrine all the time and I was so happy to see that it worked! The essential oils are Peppermint, Spearmint & Lavender therapeutic grade oils in a base of fractionated coconut oil. Whenever I feel a migraine coming on I roll the aromatherapy stick on, followed by chugging water and an ice pack on my neck, and my migraine goes away. Plus, you can throw it in your purse and it smells delicious, too.

6. “You Are A Badass” by Jen Sincero

Ya’ll know I love me some self-help and motivational books. This book aligns with all my beliefs in manifesting your destiny, making shit happen and self-love. Not only does this book pump you up, but I love the way it is written. It  feels like you are getting advice from your badass girlfriend who has her shit together and is pumping you up. It’s an easy read that will change your life immediately (with action and change of thoughts on your end, of course).

“Maybe, if you put your disbelief aside, roll up your sleeves, take some risks, and totally go for it, you’ll wake up one day and realize you’re living the kind of life you used to be jealous of.”

7. “Evil Genius” on Netflix

Boy do I love me some murder mysteries. Anything to do with murder, conspiracy, drugs, mystery, etc, count me in.  First off, if you haven’t seen “Making A Murderer” on Netflix or “The Jinx” docuseries on HBO, go ahead and do yourself a favor and binge watch those. “Evil Genius” is right up there with those two. “Evil Genius” is baffling true crime story that starts with a bizarre death of a pizza delivery man who robs a bank with a bomb around his neck. Botched bank heist, eerie treasure hunt, diabolical murder — or all of the above? You’ll have to watch for the twisted surprises to find out (dun, dun, dun).

8. “Bubblebath” by OPI Nail Polish

One of my favorite nail polish colors and the number one beauty question I get asked about most. I do acrylic nails with gel polish, and when in doubt, I go with my favorite “princess color” I like to call it, “Bubble Bath” by OPI.

9. Dreaming Tree wine

A couple weeks ago Tyler and I were in the grocery store. We were in the wine aisle (which was an entire aisle full of a huge wine selection). We started on opposite ends and when we were done each picking one out, we laugh as we realized we both picked the SAME exact wine: Dreaming Tree Cabernet. This wine has flavors and aromas of blackberry, cherry and herbal notes wrapped by toasted vanilla, so it makes for an easy drink. Fun fact: Dreaming Tree is founded by Dave Matthews! Oh, and it’s yours for just $10, so go ahead and grab two.

10. AbCuts CLA

AbCuts is a a glorified fish oil, but CLA targets getting rid of your brown fat aka the yucky stuff. I find that taking this a few times a day with my meals helps me big time in my middle section! It promotes healthy weight management & helps maintain lean body mass. It’s amazing how a few simple changes like adding this CLA to your daily routine can make a huge difference!
